I have over thirty years experience as a freelance cameraman.
I can quite confidently state there is little I haven’t witnessed and filmed during this time. I never tire or take for granted the privilege of witnessing whilst filming, contributors at their most vulnerable, challenged or inspiring. Whether it be recording a genius surgeon saving a life, or filming arguably the most influential artist of the 20th and 21st century, I genuinely feel I have the best job imaginable.
Along the way I have shot the BAFTA award winning series Hugh's Fish Fight, and personally been nominated for Camera Excellence by the Guild of Television Cameramen (GTC) for the documentary The Toughest Place to be a Taxi Driver. I have travelled the world extensively, filming in over 100 countries and on just about every continent. I’ve even been into space, well nearly, filming on the infamous Vomit Comet!
